More water photography. Let me know what you think...

*update* - In response to the questions about ice: this is not a piece of ice.

*update 2* - Since this got DD I figured more people would be seeing it and it would be fair to explain this photo and its process. It is not ice, it is an upside down drinking glass. I use a Sony DSC-31 which is only 2 MP. I took it at 1280x960 and resized in Photoshop. Color balance used to adjust Cyans and Blues. Sharpened once, frame and text added. That's about it. Thanks everyone for your support.

Daily Deviation

Given 2002-09-20

Reflector is one of a series of macro pieces done by skyfire. His shots are carefully thought out, and whilst it IS photography, I am featuring it as the daily 'art' piece, simply because of the sheer quality of this series. Magnificent work (authorized by :devolya:) (Smile) (Selected by +ekud) (Featured by +ekud)

i love the color and the water splashing is just so great :D (Big Grin)

yea... there is a lot of water photography out there. however i like how this has more elements than just the finely focused water (the drain). the colors are nice and cold, and of course focus is great.

I've always loved these reflective water shots. Water just looks so nice even mysterious in these shots. I've always wondered how inspiring even kitchen sink or things like that are. This is another great way to show that. :-) (Smile)

oh man.... this is quite good. Where'd you get that perfectly shaped, perfectly clear block of ice. Too big to be an ice cube from the icemaker or ice tray. You make that special for the shot? The blue tint of the photo is very well chosen as well. Well anyway, I have a CP5000 and have not yet figured how to set the shutter speed fast enough to take this kind of photo, but you have indeed inspired me to go read the manual some more :) (Smile) .
